I’ve found a great looking recumbent in a craislist listing but I’m trying to decide if I want it. T he price looks fair but I’ve been seeing mixed reviews of recumbents lately.  Aren’t they supposed to be great for your back and joints? Or is that not the case anymore?

I’ve heard mixed reviews, too.  I wouldn’t feel safe on that kind of bike.  I feel like I’d need to strain my neck to see and I feel like I’d crash into stuff

I dont’ think I would go for that kind of thing from the classifieds.  Even if I thought recumbent bikes as a category were good I don’t know that I would trust one that I found online and not at a reputable dealer.  THere is too much that could go wrong.

Anne, I’d agree with you, depending on how much you would save from the classifieds.  If it’s really cheap but appears to be in good condition, then you can at least use it to find out if you like the expeirence of a recumbant bike and learn what types of features you like and don’t like.
