Anyone have good experiences with ice grips for boots? Those pronged things or chains that you put onto the bottom of winter boots? They’re not cheap so I’m hoping for recommendations

Don’t go cheap.  THey just fall off and it’s not worth it.  Also, get the coil ones, not the spikes, unless you really are heading out onto tough trails. Otherwise, you’ll find it hard walking on your driveway, garage, or entryway and risk damage to entry mats.

THe pronged ones that are cheap work ok if you don’t mind that they do pop out now and again and get lost.  Some of them come with spares you can shove back in again.  Don’t get the spiked metal crampons unless you’re climbing ice.  They’re not meant for regular walking and hiking and you risk cutting yourself or wrecking your boots.

Did you pick any? hopefully you won’t need them much longer anyway.  Spring is almost here!

I agree. If you don’t have them by now, just wait it out. Spring is practically everywhere now! You’d only use them a couple more times depending on where you live.
