I really am asking this on behalf of a friend. I’m doing ok and have pushed through the blue feelings I’ve had recently but a very close friend of mine is struggling with actual depression and it makes her not eat too much on some days and eat huge amounts on other days and it’s making her weight increase a lot. Is there a strategy for people with depression to eat better so that it supports weight loss and maybe even supports their mental health too?
Good question. WIsh I knew the answer. I’d say talking to a doctor is likely a good first step. making sure healthy foods are the most convenient is probably the second one.
Thank you. She doesn’t think therapy is for her, so I’m trying to focus on the food side of things. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s something. A first positive step.
