No matter how much sunscreen I wear, UV protective clothing, big hats and so on, I am getting a tan. In fact, I’m getting a weird tan from areas that simply burn no matter how much covering up I do.  Plus my hands are getting dark because they’re the only thing I can’t cover because I can’t wear gloves when it’s 100 degrees out.  Is there a way to get a tan off?

I think the best way to get rid of a tan is to gently exfoliate (a washcloth in the shower is likely enough), use amazing skin care products for healing skin, and stay out of the sun so you don’t just end up maintaining it. Other than that, I don’t think there’s a way.  Stay away from skin brightening or skin bleaching products. A lot of them look gentle but are soooo dangerous. They also make your skin more sun sensitive for that matter.

When I was a teen, I used a piece of lemon and rubbed the juice on my skin and let it sit for a few minutes before washing it off with soap. I dont know if that was just a myth or if it helped, but that’s what I did.  In my imagination, it helped haha.

LOL I used to do that to sun bleach my hair. I bet that was horrible for both our skin and hair, though!

I think I’d just exfoliate every day with a washcloth or something like that.  Nothing too harsh.  Just encourage cells to get a move on haha.
