I havne’t been hearing about low carb anywhere near as much as I used to. It’s all about calories or keto now.  Has that theory pretty much had its day and now it’s just another fad that people couldn’t keep up and that didn’t stand the test of time?

Low carb is still going.  It’s just not what it used to be.  It’s lowER carb, not just trying to eat as few carbs as possible. It’s been understood that carbs are foods with a lot of nutrition, and we need some of them. So while the average American diet has far too many carbs when compared to protein and healthy fat calories, cutting down on that number helps. It’s a matter of balancing the ratio properly as opposed to trying to shrink cabs down to next to nothing.

Low carb is still huge.  It’s just not really Atkins anymore. Too much research has gone against goign that extreme and not focusing on nutrition.  But reducing your carb intake is still important.  You need a good macro ratio

Ya, low carb is still a thing. It just has lots of names now  like “high protein ” or “high fat” so it’s not necessarily referring to what is done with the carbs, even when that’s what’s happening.  Lots of differnet angles to it now.

You nailed it answering your own question, Brightstar. Thta’s just it.  It’s not that low carb is necessarily gone, it’s that it’s under a lot of different labels now.
