I have taken vitamin d3 every day for years because my doctor recommends it and it looks like even if she’s wrong, there is very little risk of it actually causing harm. So in case it helps, I take it. I go for cheap gels or liquid/oil forms because I’ve heard those are the ones most likely to be absorbed while tablets and harder pills will often go right through you undigested. So I got Jamieson vitamin D3 softgels on sale. I am assuming they’re working just as good as all the other ones I’ve gotten. Still, since the time I bought them, even though there’s lots of time before the expiry date, they all stick together, which I find pretty gross. I would blame the summer heat but they were even doing it at the store in the air conditioning. I have to knock the side of the jar to loosen them. They’re not stuck together hard, just one big blob until I knock the bottle, then they’re all individuals again. I am hoping that doesn’t impact their effectiveness, just thought I’d point it out here. They’re good and cheap and you get a ton in a bottle so I have to only buy them about twice per year .

I think they’re fine. As long as a swift whack of the bottle loosens them all, it’s fine. The gel casing for those pills is a little on the sticky side. It’s just how that texture is. When they sit for a day and settle, they’ll naturally stick together a bit just because of their texture and gravity. If they all break loose, it means they haven’t melted together or anything. THey were just being sticky. The bottle likely has the recommended temperature range on it. As long as you have kept it about there, you should be just fine.

That’s a relief to know. I felt like that might be the case, but it’s such a weird thing that I didn’t want to be eating vitamin supplements that were slowly going rancid or something. They don’t have a funny smell or anything. I guess that’s just how they are. Thanks!

No problem. Glad to help out a bit. It really can throw you off when your pills all seem like they’re a clump. Easy to think something’s wrong.

I know what you mean about that. Seems so gross when it happens but it really is just normal as long as you’re not letting them get too hot or anything.
