I must have the worst hamstrings in the universe.  Even after a great yoga session, I’m miles from touching my toes.  Is there any way to change that, or is there little I can do at this point in my life?

Hamstrings are a common problem. I’d say just keep trying. Do your best at each of your yoga sessions. Over time, you’ll stretch and improve your reach.  It’s not something you can do all right away. It’s something you’ll get as you work that part of your body regularly.

I agree.  slow and steady.  Just keep working on slowly and gently stretching them out. It will happen over time.  It’s not something you can rush.  Use a foam roller after your workouts. That will help ease them and help them heal up faster to be ready for your next workout.

Focus on gently stretching your hamstrings at least every other day, do the rest of your workouts as usual.  Just make sure your hamstrings are getting attention but you’re not overdoing it and risking hurting yourself.

Thanks. I’ve been holding a wall and doing a pedaling motion with my feet.  That’s about it and I don’t know if it’s doing anything. I’ll need to start creating workouts that stretch them out more.
