How dangerous is it to ride on bike trails that are not paved? Are the easy ones dangerous at all or are they just the same safety level only not paved? I’m a beginner so I want to make sure it’s safe if I give it a try.

The easy ones are meant to be easy.  If you’ve never done it before, just go slowly and build your skills.  They are usually more dangerous than a paved trail, but not that much if it’s an easy trail that is well maintained.  If you’re a competent rider, give it a try and you’ll find out.  If it turns out it’s too hard, don’t go too far and just head back.  It’s not a big risk 🙂

It’s not that dangerous.  If you’re competent on your bike then you’ll be able to handle the beginner trails.  They’re not full of roots and weird stuff.  They’re just a trail that is packed dirt, not pavement.

Thanks! I’m going to give it a try this weekend. I know I’m being a chicken by all this. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t making a stupid mistake by doing something that could get me hurt. I’ve only ever ridden my bike on pavement. I know, I know, city folk haha
