The weather is beautiful where I am and perfect for cycling, but the roads still have a lot of sand and grit on them, making it hard to stop and easy to slip. Any tips to help out?
That will clear up over time. Until then, you can choose roads that aren’t busy at all and go down where it’s track bare, or you can go at times when there’s no traffic. Otherwise, I’d really recommend using biking trails until the weather and your city take up the road grit.
Unfortunately, I think that’s a patience thing. It’ll get cleared up. For now it’s dangerous. A very good friend of mine is just as antsy to get out on his motorcycle. It’s just too dangerous though. It’s still early in the year. You’ll get out there soon enough and it’ll be great.
Should be gone soon. The spring rains will wash it away
