Lean Burger Recipes Light on Everything but Taste and Enjoyment

The following are some absolutely delicious lean burger recipes that all ring in at under 350 calories without sacrificing a single part of the enjoyment. They are all made of a lean ground beef patty (93/7) and don’t contain any filler. That’s right, you get straight up beef patties in this dish. See? We told you that you wouldn’t need to sacrifice anything to enjoy these lighter grilling options! And since they’re quite simple, you won’t even need any extra time or effort to make them!

Classic Backyard Barbecue Burger

  • ¼ pound of raw ground beef, 93/7
  • 1 small burger bun
  • 2 tablespoons of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 3 to 4 thick onion slices (cut into ringed patties)
  • Lettuce, desired amount
  • Tomato, sliced, desired amount

Grill the burger patty and the onions until they reach their desired doneness. Toast the bun, then add the cooked patty, onion, barbecue sauce, lettuce and tomato. Serve.

Hawaiian Burger

  • ¼ pound of raw ground beef, 93/7
  • 2 pineapple rings
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
  • 1 small burger bun

Grill burger patty and pineapple rings until desired doneness. Brush teriyaki sauce on grilled burger and pineapple. Toast bun and top with burger and pineapple. Serve.

TexMex Burger

  • ¼ pound of raw ground beef, 93/7
  • 1 small burger bun
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons enchilada sauce
  • 1 thin slice cheddar cheese

Grill burger patty until desired doneness. Toast bun. Top bun with patty, enchilada sauce and cheese.  Serve.
